All recipients of the National Certificate in Exercise & Fitness: Level 1(awarded in 2006 and before) are required to re-certify their qualification every five years.
It is a requirement for the scheme that you accumulate 1,000 Continuing Education Credits(CEC’S) in each five year period, to be recorded in your NCEF passport book, (available from the NCEF head office).
To be eligible, you must also ensure that your OFA Certificate is kept up to date, or renewed as a pre-qualification for acceptance onto the scheme.
The recertification fee is €55.00, and is waived for current Fitness Professionals Ireland (FPI) members, who also receive 200 CECs annually toward certification. FPI is formerly The NCEF National Register of Exercise Professionals.
